Police are reporting Hailey Owens was found dead early this morning at a residence in Springfield. A suspect is currently in custody, and charges are pending.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — An Amber Alert has been issued for a 10-year-old Springfield girl.

The Springfield Police Department issued the alert on Tuesday, Feb. 18, saying Hailey M. Owens had been abducted at 3247 W. Lombard St. at 4:48 p.m.

The alleged abductor is identified as a white male, 45 years old, with gray hair and an unshaven face. He is reportedly driving a gold 2008 Ford Ranger. The truck has a Missouri license plate, and the number is 1YF-454. An alternate possible license plate for the truck was also given: 1YS-454.

Owens is described as being a white female, 10 years old, 5 foot 2 inches tall, weighing 90 pounds. She has long brown hair, brown eyes, and pierced ears. She was last seen wearing blue jean shorts and purple sandals.
