Edward C. “Ed” Huebner, Jr. 73, of Barnett, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on March 6, 2014.

The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at The United Pentecostal Church of Versailles. Pastor Gerald Hamlett will be officiating.

Edward was born in Kansas City, Missouri on February 11, 1941. He was married to Velma “Vel” (Patton) Huebner on August 12, 1967; they were married 46 ½ years.

Ed was the Owner/Operator of E & V Septic Tank Service in the lake area for many years. He enjoyed the simple things in life, especially: tinkering in his garage; he created functional and beautiful things usually out of different forms of metals, such as, bicycles & tricycles, windmills, an ornamental canon, a wishing well and many other forms of functional art. He loved collecting model T Ford parts and assembling his own Model T, he could always be found on his riding lawnmower with his cowboy hat on keeping his property immaculate. He loved animals, especially dogs who were his constant companions throughout his life. He was very fond of sunshiny days on the deck and spending time with his family.

Ed is survived by his loving wife Vel (Patton) Huebner of Barnett, MO, his son William “Lou” and Vicky Reeves of Linn Creek, MO, daughter Fredonna Huebner of Corpus Christi, TX, daughter Vickie Reeves and her fiancé James Croom of Lemont, Illinois, daughter Julie and Billie Jacobs of Versailles, MO, daughter Ranetta Davis of Linn Creek, MO, daughter Christi L Bell of Greenview, MO, and one brother Richard Huebner of Dennis, KS, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family and friends.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Edward C. and Mildred Huebner Sr., and his step-father Daniel B. Hays. As well as, his parent-in-laws, Louie and Pauline Patton.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the “Edward C. Huebner, Jr. Memorial Fund in c/o UPC” send to United Pentecostal Church of Versailles, 105 W.
